Boxing Combined Services' Tournament

(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND. October 2. Six semi-finals were fought at the naval base today, and the finals of the New Zealand combined services boxing championships will be held at the Y.M.C.A. tomorrow night. Two provincial champions are in the finals—the light-weight C. K. McGrory (Auckland), and the lightwelterweight u.A.C. McClintock (Canterbury). Results:— Light-welter-weight.—Cpl. Morgan (Air Force) beat A.B Bartlett (Navy) on points; L.A.C. McClintock (Air‘Force) beat Steward McNabb (Navy) on points. Welter-weight. Pte. Nalvalu iArmy) beat L.M.E. Gracie (Navy) by a technical knock-out; L.A.C. Holder (Air Force) beat L.M.E. Wishart (Navy) on points. Light-middle-weight.—Wtr. Lena (Naw) beat A.B. Brough (Navy) on points; Pte. F. Maka (Army) beat N.E. Willing (Navy) on points.
