Repairs To Endeavour Completed
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND. September 16.
Shipwrights have completed repairs on the naval supply ship Endeavour, which sprang a leak during a Pacific storm last month. The leak was caused by deterioration of some of the hull caulking. The hull and the outer sheathing were found to be sound. Routine maintenance is being carried out on the Endeavour and she will remain in Calliope dock until next Wednesday.
