HEALTH STAMP SALES

Campaign Op ens Today The health stamp campaign will open today. The stamps will be sold at all post offices and, today only, at special booths in the savings bank and in 16 suburban post offices. The vestibule booth in the Chief Post Office will be staffed by women members of the health camp organisation for the duration of the campaign. Today, stamps will also be sold at the Glenelg Health Camp. On Saturday, October 3, house-to-house sales will be made by boy scouts who will offer miniature sheets of six stamps, in denominations of 3d and 4. A spokesman for the Post Office said yesterday that first-day covers would not be sold at post offices today but would be available from city stores. Persons who wished to have special Glenelg pictorial date stamping should post their envelopes in a special box provided in the vestibule of the Chief Post Office.
