DR. T. A. HATHERTON, the chief New Zealand scientist in the Antarctic during the International Geophysical Year, will leave for the United States with his family early next month to take up a year-long Commonwealth Fund fellowship. He will spend most of his time at the seismological observatory of the California Institute of Technology at Pasadena. He will also travel extensively and visit scientific institutes in many centres.—(P.A.)
