THE LATEST IDEA IN MOTOR RACING.—The “Tro-cart,” which will soon make its debut on the famous Silverstone circuit, has no gears, no clutch, no springs, and practically no body. These powered soap boxes have a wheel base of 50in, a length of 6ft, and are powered by a two-stroke engine of not more than 270 c.c., giving a maximum speed of 40 miles an hour. This photograph shows Miss Norma Berrage (right) and Peter Freyer demonstrating how to take bends at high speeds during racing. It is hoped to introduce this sport into all parts of Britain.
