Moderation.—We have no space just now for another discussion on the licensing laws. Ex-Farmer.—lf you think the Wool Board needs such reassurance you could offer it direct. Old Man River.—Man can control the rate of erosion; and he is very foolish if he does not make the effort. Ilam.—No space just now. The subject will be reopened if firm proposals for reform are put before the public. Anglo-Catholic.—The correspondence was closed because it was infringing the forbidden ground of sectarian controversy. Your letter did the same. Family Doctor for Me.—Your opinions could be directed, more usefully, to the consultative committee now going into this question. Otherwise you will have tn wait until the committee reports. R.P.P.—Pressure of space, telegraph traffic, and other considerations govern the reporting of distant sports events. We shall try to give a summary shortly after the tournament. J.R.8.-S.—lf, as you suggest, the general public have a poor opinion of students, it is because of their misbehaviour, not because of "generous"—or even ungenerous—reports of that behaviour. We do not share your belief that those who deplore such behaviour would be mollified by learning—if they do not already know it—that students also find time to play games.
