FISHINC BOAT WRECK
No Sign Of Two Crew Members
(New Zealand Press Association) INVERCARGILL, July 5. There seems little hope of find ing alive the crew of the fishing vessel, the Seaforth, which was wrecked at Puysegur Point more than a week ago. Efforts by searchers on the coast line around the point and in Preservation Inlet have been hampered by bad weather. On Saturday a full-scale search started with the aid of a Dunedin fishing boat, the John A Settrie. No trace of the missing men was found.
Chief Inspector F. Taylor, of the Invercargill police, said tonight that no news from the search party had been received, but should nothing be found, the search wil] continue for a few days. Progress news on the search has been affected by poor radio conditions and a police call to the point tonight could not be made.
The hull of the Seaforth is lying about half a mile northeast of the lighthouse and can be seen on the sea-bed.
