Trotting STABLEMATES IN FORM
Trotters’ Races At Thames “The Press" Special Service AUCKLAND, July 3. The Lower Hutt trainer, J. S. Hunter, looks to hold a strong hand in the Karaka Handicap and the Brownlee Handicap, the races for trotters at the Thames Trotting Club’s meeting, which will be held at the Cambridge course tomorrow. Wing Commander will atart from 36 yards in the Karaka Handicap, but that may not be sufficient to keep him out of the money. Both horses will start in the Brownlee Handicap ano they will probably form the favourite combination. The double will be run on the Thames Trotting Cup and the Tapu Handicap. Weather prospects are fair and the track is expected to be easy. Selections:— 11 a.m.—Karaka Handicap: Wing Commander, Oleda Girl. Rock’n Robin 11.40 a.m.—First Ngatea Handicap: Braemore, Gay Indian, Cherrypicker. 12.20 p.m.—Hauraki Handicap: Smoky Direct, Agreement, Rapine. 1 p.m.—Thames Trotting Cup: Wexford Chief-Wise Earl liracket. Gowden, Dusky Valley. 1.45 p.m.—second Ngatea Handicap: Sapelu, General Johny, Sleepy Sox 2.25 p.m.—Brownlee Memorial Handicap: Worthy King. Onawe Stormy Belwin 3.10 p.m.—Tapu Handicap: Some Lad-Donna bracket. Folder, Flying Earl 3.00 p.m.—Shortland Handicap: Rapine. Major Star, Agreement.
