Car Mishap Near Muni para
(New Zeaiana Preet Association) HAMILTON. July' 3. Judgment has been entered by Mr Justice Turner In the Hamilton Supreme Court for £1446 Ils, including £196 Ils special damages, in favour of Dorothy Mary Thatcher, married woman, of Murupara, against Rona Elgpetb Phillis Prentice, married woman, of Auckland, and her husband, William Thomas Harold Prentice, retired sawmiller, of Auckland. The plaintiff was a passenger in a car owned by Mf Prentice and driven by Mrs Prentice when it left the road near Murupara on the night of June 11. 1958, and struck a bank. Mrs Thatcher received severe facial. injuries. She alleged negligence on Mrs Prentice’s part, while Mr and Mrs Prentice pleaded that the accident was unforeseeable and was due to the icy condition of the road.
