Man Assaulted And Robbed
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 2.
Detectives in Auckland are searching for two men who assaulted and robbed another of £35. his watch, papers, and railtickets at Albert Park early on Tuesday evening. The victim of the attack, Mf John Peta. a 35-year-old scrubcutter of Stratford, met the men in a hotel and they offered to show him the way back to the Maori hostel in Parnell where he was staying.
After assaulting and robbing Mr Peta his assailants made off.
University students found Mr Peta in a dazed state and took lim to the central police station nearby. He was treated for injuries . and bruises at Auckland Hospital.
