ANSETT’S BID FOR GUINEA HOLDINGS

MELBOURNE, July 2.
Ansett Transport Industries has made a bid worth £1.7 million to acquire Guinea Holdings, Ltd., South Australian airline operator and investment company. Directors of Ansett today offered to buy all the ordinary shares in Guinea Holdings by the exchange of 2j fully paid 5s ordinary shades in Ansett for each 5s share in Guinea Holdings, or alternatively for 17s 6d in cash. The offer is subject to acceptance by holders of 90 per cent, of the shares in Guinea Holdings or such lower percentage as agreed upon by Ansett. It is open until July 31.
