Assault And Robbery In Auckland

(New Zealand Press Association) • AUCKLAND, July 1. I Detectives in Auckland are searching for two men who assaulted and robbed smother of £35, bis watch, papers, and rail tickets in Albert Park early last evening. The victim of the attack, Mr John Peta, aged 35, a scrubcutter, of Stratford, met the men in a hotel and they offered to show him the way back to the Maori hostel * in Parnell where he was staying. ?.fter assaulting and robbing Mr Peta his assailants made off.

University students found Mr ; Peta in a dazed state and took him to the central police station nearby. He was treated for superficial facial injuries and bruises at the Auckland Public Hospltffi.
