Otago Beats South Canterbury
(Kew Zealana P*ess Association! DUNEDIN. July 1. The Otago Rugby team won its third successive match when it beat South Canterbury. 11-3, in a lack-lustre display by both sides at Dunedin today.
The Otago team, with only six men of the side that beat Southland last week by 19 points to 8. was well hammered in the first half by the South Canterbury pack and rarely produced the polish expected. South Canterbury won most of the ball, but the backs were unable to use it to advantage. Otago's points came from tries scored by the centre, V. Lloyd, a flanker, R. J. Conway, and a wing, W. J. McAuley, the fullback, P. McDonald, converting one. South Canterbury’s full-back. M. D. Watson, kicked a goal from a penalty.
