Old Time Dance Association.— The following officers were elected at the annual meeting of the Old Time Dance Association: President, Mr W. Tate; vice-presidents, Mrs M, Martin, Mr A. Housechild, H. Hood. Mothers’ Club.— The annual meeting of the Gold Star Mothers’ Club was held recently when the following officers were elected:— President, Mrs V. Scott: vicepresidents. Mesdames M. G. Scott and E. Askew; secretary, Mrs L. Me Kenzie: treasurer. Mrs M. [Watson: birthday secretary, Mrs V. Cooper: committee, Mesdames J. Williams, A. E. Rogers. Chapinan. MacKenzie, G. Phillips, and Patterson.

Redcliffs - Sumner Garden Club. — The following officers were elected at the annual meeting of [the Redcliffs-Sumner Garden Club: Patron, Miss C. Andrews; president, Mrs A. B. Cullens; vicepresidents, Mesdames H. M. Stevens and R. W. Archer; treasurer, Mrs A. Henley; secretary, Mrs E J. Ebert; committee. Mesdames G. C. Eames, K. M. Edwards, D. Blackwell and E. Haste. The Cora Andrews Cup for most points in the decorative competitions through the year was won by Mrs L. E. Smith and presented by Mrs Cullens. Crippled Children Society.— Field officers visited 60 homes during the month and transported' 150 children to clinics for treatment. it was reported at the monthly meeting of the Canterbury and West Coast branch of the New Zealand Crippled Children Society. Children had been lent tricycles to help them get around, and help and advice had been given about suitable footwear and wheelchairs. One of the society's field officers gave an encouraging report of the work being done at the Pukeora Home for the physically handicapped. A presentation was made to the secretary (Mrs F. S. Hiller-Mead) on her depatrure overseas. Miss C. Kent will be acting-secretary until Mrs Miller-Mead returns early next year,
