STOLEN GOODS RECOVERED

Detectives Question Two Boys

Two boys were questioned by detectives of the Christchurch Criminal Investigation Branch yesterday morning in connexion with the breaking and entering and thefts from the premises of H.M.N.Z.S. Pegasus in Montreal street. A quantity of stolen goods has been recovered. Cigarettes, tobacco, and confectionery, valued at more than T 13. were stolen from the fruiterer's shop of H. E. and L. Clarke, at 230 Stanmore road, on Monday night. A back window of the shop was smashed to gain entry. Goods were cleared off the shelves and thrown on to the floor.
