New Elizabethans.—The new Elizabethans, the junior branch of the English-Speaking Union, held a tea dance at Elizabeth House on Saturday evening. There were 75 to 80 guests present, including the president of the union (Mr S. Gill) and Mrs Gill and Malayan Colombo Plan students. Guests were received by the committee. Misses N. and B. Wright, Mrs N. Edwards, and Mr J. Patrick. The lounge was decorated in a rustic fashion with a niche featuring lambs in a farm-yard scene. A scarecrow and beetles, spiders., and field-mice around bales of hay made the hall into a realistic barn. Fruit and vegetables contributed by students from Lincoln College decorated the tables.
