Blind Radiologist Given O.B.E.

(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 14.

A doctor who lost his sight through his pioneering work in medicine in New Zealand has been awarded the 0.8. E. in thfe Queen’s Birthday Honours. Dr, P. D. Cameron, of Lowry Bay, Wellington, a radiologist, is almost completely blind as a result of radiation damage sustained through giving radium and deep X-ray treatment to patients for 40 years. He retired nine years ago.
