The net profit of Truth (N.Z.) Ltd., for the year to March 31. 1959, was £39,174 against £31,065 in 1958, and £21,803 in 1957. Profit is reached after provision of £31,487 (£32,749 in 1958) for depreciation and £39,429 (£39,665) for taxation. Dividend on the 5.6 per cent, preference shares takes £2BOO and dividend on the preference shares (participating to 6 per cent.) takes £705. Steady ordinary dividend of 10 per cent, requires £12,674. Carry-forward is £65,523 against £38,904 brought in. Gross revenue was down at £632,906 (£750,589), but expenses also fell to £554,303 (£679,869). Balance sheet figures include:— current liabilities £ 169,307 (£138,564), fixed liabilities £117.029 (£91,040), current assets £256,008 (£205,458), investments £12,144 (£12,867). fixed assets £340,672 (£310,148).
