Thames Valley Beats King Country
(New Zealand Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, May 13. Thames Valley beat King Country by 20 points to 19 in the season’s first representative Rugby match at Otorohanga today. Thames Valley owed victory to some extent to the kicking ability of R. M. Jacomb. He kicked goals from five penalties and was successful with the conversion of a try scored by B. Mitchell, on which the fate of the game depended. C Sanson and H. Paiaka scored tries for King Country. I. Aitken converted both and kicked three goals from penalties.
