Lyttelton Fixture
Although entries in some sections were fewer than usual, because of the adverse weather this week, there were quite numerous entries in other sections at the Lyttelton chrysanthemum show, which opened in the Methodist Hall yesterday. W. Morris was awarded the J. T. Norton Challenge Cup for the premier bloom, an E. Elston bloom: Mrs R. K. Duckworth was awarded the trophy for the most outstanding exhibit, and Miss V. Stafford gained Mr L. J. Glasson’s trophy for most points In the beginners’ section. Following is the prize list:--Cut Blooms.—Open (7): W- Morris, 4 firsts, 1 second; L. J. Glasson, 1 first. Intermediate (4): W. Guttonnson, 2 firsts. 1 second; R. Stafford, 1 second. Beginners (9): Miss V. Stafford, 3 firsts; Mrs E. L. Harvey. 1 second; Mrs A. J.
