Hawke’s Bay Club Wants Keas Too
(New Zealand Press Association) GREYMOUTH, April 14 It appears that not only whistling tree frogs interest members of the Hawke's Bay Naturalist Club, but keas, too. The club is now advertising in Westland newspapers for keas, but states they must be alive and in good condition.
Apparently the difficulty involved in catching this particularly aggressive bird has been realised by the club, at it does not state a price—it appears that part of the deal is up to the person with a stock of keas.
