Minister Advised Of Hamilton Ballot

(New Zeal an a Press Association) HAMILTON, April 13.

In a letter to the Minister of Broadcasting (Mr Boord) the chairman of the Hamilton branch of the New Zealand Social Credit League states: “On Friday, April 10, a secret ballot was conducted in Victoria street, Hamilton, on the question ‘Should all candidates be heard from the local station during the campaign?’ “The opening of the ballot box and count was supervised by a senior Justice of the Peace in Hamilton and 93 per cent, of the votes cast favoured access to the air for all candidates,” says the letter. “Therefore, on behalf of the people of Hamilton, I again ask you to make provision to meet the public desire in this matter.”
