Seventeen-year-old Jan Lehane, of New South Wales, won the final oi the Australian hard-court women’s tennis championships today, beating Lorraine Coghlan (Victoria), 6-3. 2-6. 6-2, at Melbourne’s Royal South Yarra courts. Miss Lehane, who is the youngest open champion for many years, yesterday won the junior girls' singles final. Miss Coghlan virtually gave the match away today when she suffered leg cramps in the final set.
