RUGBY Five Senior Teams In Friendly Games

Five senior Rugby teams played friendly Rugby matches on Saturday and others held final practice matches before the opening of the competition next week.

The promising New Brighton team beat Black Diamonds (Glentunnel) by 32 points to 0, Old Boys scored an easy victory over Lincoln College, and SunnysideSpreydon beat Irwell comfortably. In a scrappy match at Waltham Park, Sydenham beat Eelfast by 21 points to 8. Last year’s champion team, University, held its final trial to select a senior side from an abundance of material and Christchurch, Marist, Albion, Linwood, and Merivale played their reserve teams.
