Road Safety
Sir,—l notice a report about new regulations for passing on fourlane highways. Now that Port Kaiapoi is open for shipping again a four-lane highway from Chaneys corner to Kaiapoi would be a big help to do away with traffic congestion on that part of the Main North road. It is the slow-moving traffic that causes congestion. With a four-lane highway the faster traffic would be able to pass.—Yours, etc, A RATEPAYER. February 27, 1959.
