Tanker In Nursery

A tanker carrying 2000 gallons ot hot bitumen left the Great South road a mile south ot Manurewa and Invaded the garden nursery of Mr H. Beaumont. Mayor of the borough, on Thursday morning. The driver, Mr G. Paraire, was not hurt. The tanker finished upside down among standard roses. The bitumen was spilled among 2200 roses, more than half of which were damaged.
