PLEASANT POINT The Presr special sertnce TIMARIJ. February 17. Compared with Monday's excellent 2-tdoth ewe sale, yesterday's Pleasant Point market was something in the natu.e of an anti-dlmax. One hundred and fifty head of fat cattle of mixed quauty were yarded and, as the market was over-suppUed, values eased approximately «3 a head. The offering of 150 fat lambs met little interest and all were passed in. Half the yarding of fat sheep was passed in, as export buyers were not operating on ewes owing to the blockage in the freezing works. Fat wethers, which were sold, eased by about 4a -a head. There was a moderate entry of store sheep, and these also met with little response, Sid the market was once again in vour of buyers. Values were:— Fat Cattle.—Fat steers, good £45 to £54 2s 6d; medium £4O to £45; Ught, £26 2s gd to £39 17a ad. Fat heifers, good £37 to £43 12s 6d; medium £32 to £33 17s 8d; Ught £24 17s 6d to £3l 17s Bd. Fat cows, good £3O to £4O; medium £25 to £3O; Ught £l9 17s 6d to £24 17s
Fat Sheep.—Fat wethers, good 50s to 55s Id; medium 45s to 49s lOd; Ught 40s to 44s lOd. Fat ewes, good 22s to 24s Id; medium 20s to 21s lOd; light 17s Id to 19s lOd. Store sheep, Romney ewe lambs 14s to 35s 6d: wether lambs 13s to 25s ad; rape ewes 2s to 13s; 2-tooth ewes to 53s Bd; 2-tooth wethers 28s to 31s; 4-year Cheviot cross ewes (late shorn) to 345.
