Banks Peninsula Meeting Stakes for the Banks Peninsula ■Racing Club’s meeting on March 7 are £325 less than for the corresponding meeting last year. Stakes have been lowered for every race on the programme, and will amount to £1725. The main race, the Peninsula Handicap, has been reduced from £«5O to £550. . The Kinloch Handicap this year is worth £3so—a decrease of £5O on last year. The stake for- the hack stayers’ .race has also been reduced by £5O and is now £2OO. There have been £25 decreases in stakes for each of the other races on the programme. I Jockey Suspended For Fortnight (New Zealand Press Association) HAMILTON, Feb. 16.P. K. Cathro, rider of Contract in the Waikato Hack Stayers' Plate at Te Rapa on Saturday, was suspended up to and including February 28 by the judicial committee of the Waikato Racing Club, for causing interference to Sassawon (W.
