1961 DOCTORS’ CONFERENCE
London Body To Meet In N.Z. The 1961 biennial conference of the New Zealand branch of the British Medical Association would be held in Auckland, the chairman (Dr. J. F. Landreth., of Christchurch) announced yesterday at the end of the branch’s four-day conference in Christchurch. Dr. Landreth said that the conference would be held in conjunction with the annual meeting of the parent body, the British Medical Association. It would be the first time the association had held an annual meeting in New Zealand, the chairman of the branch's council (Dr. Russell Thomas, of Auckland) said.
Dr. Thomas described this year’s conference as “a raging success.’’ The standard of clinical paper presented had been excellent and the liveliness of discussions after them “first rate.” If there was one complaint it was the perennial one—never enough time. f *■
