Delay To Start Of Season

Although the season opens on Sunday, oysters will not be on sale until, Wednesday at’ the earliest, as no agreement as to the price of oysters has been agreed upon by the merchants and oystermen. \ Oystermen put in demands for the prices of oysters every

season, and should these not be agreed upon with the merchants, captains will not take their boats out to the beds.

A meeting between the merchants and oystermen has been set down for Monday morning, and should an agreement be reached, then the boats will put to sea.
