WATERSIDERS' TOURNAMENT
Lyttelton Wins Cricket
(New Zealand Press Association) INVERCARGILL. January 23. Bowlers from Bluff won all the final games of the bowls section of the South Island watersiders’ summer sports tournament today. Lyttelton won the cricket section and Bluff players were most prominent among the golfers. The Bluff pair, C. Webber and C. Ball, beat the Oamaru pair, L. Hoskins and A. Bremner, 22-20. The final of the rinks section resulted in a runaway win for Bluff over Lyttelton by 21 points to 12. Members of the successful rink were B. Diamond, W. Oswald, T. Diamond, and E. McIntyre. In the cricket played today. Port Chalmers (197 for nine) beat Nelson (114), and Lyttelton (86 for one) beat Bluff (80).
