SKATING FLOOR PURCHASE

Use By Poultry And Pigeon Club

The floor of the Christchurch Poultry, Pigeon, and Canary Club’s new hall in Selwyn street will be part of the floor laid in the King Edward Barracks for the recent skating championships. The 6800 square feet of flooring was bought recently by the contractor for the building—not for the Christchurch Poultry Board but for the Poultry, Pigeon, and Canary Clubs. Plans to replace the building, burned down last November, were now awaiting City Council approval, said the club’s secretary (Mr R. J. Mitchell).
