Honoured By King Of Greece

Mrs H. Messenger, who was well known in musical circles in Christchurch as Miss Ada Luxton, has written to say that her husband, Dr. Harry Messenger. of Harvard University, has been honoured by the King of Greece for cultural work and peace efforts in the United States. The decoration is the Gold Cross of the Royal Order of George I, and is to be conferred by the Greek Consul In Boston at a luncheon ceremony, which will take place at Harvard University. Dr. and Mrs Messenger, who were married in Thailand, have visited New Zealand twice in recent years.
