Students Injure Police
BOMBAY, January 13. Angry, stone-throwing university students injured six police officers and 12 constables at Anand, 300 miles from Bombay, today, the American Associated Press reported. Hundreds of students hurled stones at the State Governor (Sri Prakasa) and other dignitaries. Police used tear-gas on the mob surrounding an enclosure built for the delivery of the convocation address at the university by the Governor, who is also the university’s Chancellor.
