Forecast:— Canterbury: Moderate southerly or easterly winds; some scattered rain especially about the western hills, but weather mamly cloudy and mild. Outlook: weather becoming fair. Westland: Moderate west or south-west winds; a few isolated showers, but weather mainly fair to cloudy and mild Outlook: fair. Nelson and Marlborough: Moderate variable winds northerlies predominating; a few isolated showers, but weather mainly fair to cloudy; temperatures mild or warm Outlook: fair.
