Mrs H. A. Penn (Fendalton Park) is returning to national croquet after several years’ absence. She is a most experienced player, having won the Whitaker Cup in 1940 and the South Island title in 1945. Her doubles partner will be Mrs B. G. Reynolds (United). In the level singles section U bisque to 24 bisque handicap) Mrs S. F. Marshall and L. J. Mitchell (Fendalton Park) lack big tournament experience, but will learn many valuable lessons.
