Hard Task
The Canterbury selectors will have an unenviable task this year, since the senior team must be selected on Sunday for the entries to be accepted by the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association. The selectors will have to pick their team to the senior championships without having seen the swimmers competing on Monday and Tuesday. This is a deplorable state of affairs, since a swimmer who shows brilliant form on the last two days of the championships may lose the opportunity of representing his province.
