NEW CALEDONIAN VISITORS

Attendance At School In N.Z.

(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, January 13.

Twenty-four New Zealand school children—l 3 girls and 11 boys—will reach Auckland tomorrow with a friend each from New Caledonia, where they have been spending the first three weeks of the school holidays.

The visitors will be billeted in homes throughout New Zealand. Most will return on February 5, but eight will remain another three weeks to attend selected post-primary schools in New Zealand. The exchange scheme has been operating for several years but this is the first time New Caledonian children have attended New Zealand schools. The New Zealand party which has stayed in Noumea is accompanied by Mr M. V. Hutchinson, of the Auckland Grammar School, and Miss F. Kissling, of Auckland Girls’ Grammar.
