Canterbury Team

The Canterbury lawn tennis selectors (Messrs M. C. Healey and A. M. Hatch and Miss P. Cuddon) have announced the following team to play against the New Zealand Universities side at Wilding Park on Saturday:— Men: A. D. L. Hunter (Elmwood), A. L. Blackwell (Elmwood), C. W. Pritchard (North Linwood), W. Thom (South Brighton). Women: Miss J. Davidson (Cashmere), Miss D. Norrie (Avonside), Miss C. Smith (Avonside), Miss B. Mollison (St. Albans).
The University team will be:— Men: B. E. Woolf (Auckland). G. K. Roberts (Auckland), F. Scarlett (Victoria) and B. W. Crofts (Canterbury). Women: Miss J. Gienle (Auckland), Miss G. Hopkinson (Canterbury), Miss J. Kent (Victoria) and Miss J. Little (Auckland). Crofts will play in the team on Saturday in the absence of C. G. Judge (Canterbury), who will be playing in the Slazenger Shield competition in Wellington, but who will go to Australia with the team when it leaves the next day
