Doubles To Barron And Mrs Middlemiss

(New Zealand Press Association) INVERCARGILL, January 13. Mrs L. G. Middlemiss, of Auckland, and E. J. Barron, of Invercargill, two of the most consistent players in the South Island croquet championships being played in Invercargill, today won the final of the championship doubles, beating Mesdames W. Balch and T. Welly and D O Neill and S. Taylor. Mrs Middlemiss and Barron always looked the likely winners. The final' of the handicap singles will be played tomorrow, and the women’s championship will be decided between the winners of the matches between Mrs Barron and Mrs W. Frampton and Mrs O’Neill and Mrs Middlemiss. Mrs Middlemiss’s form mikes her a strong favourite for this title.
