15 Months’ Gaol For Theft
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, January 12. Chased and caught after he ransacked a Chinese property in Symonds street on Boxing Day and stole nearly £lOO, Ronald Weir Tattley, aged 33, a driver, r today appeared before Mr L. G. H. Sinclair, S.M., for sentence for breaking and entering and was sentenced to 15 months’ imprisonment. a The Magistrate warned him r that his criminal record was such ’ now that he might qualify to be sent to the Supreme Court for 1 consideration of sentence of preventive detention (three to fourteen years).
