Adventist Church Conference
Delegates from every SeventhDay Adventist Church in the South Island are attending the annual 10-day camp meeting and biennial session of the church at Pascoe Park, the church’s permanent camp site at Chaneys. The session opened last evening when Pastor W. W. Petrie, president of the South Island Conference, delivered the opening address.
Overseas delegates attending the session are Pastor M. V. Campbell, of Washington, D.C., who is a general vice-president of the church’s world conference; Dr. E. E. White, of Sydney, director of the church’s educational department in Australia and New Zealand; Pastor C. C. Weis of Sydney, home missions and Sabbath school director for Australia and New Zealand; and Pastor W. E. Battye, also representing« the church’s Australasian headquarters in Sydney. 7 A'special delegate is Mr Elisha Goropava, a Solomon Islander who is on the faculty of the Jones Missionary College, New Britain.
