Christchurch North Townswomen

Carol singing, led by the branch choir, began the Christchurch North Townswomen’s Guild Christmas party last evening. About 200 representatives from sister branches had at-, tended. Member of the Dominion Federation executive were presented with sprays. Husbands and friends were invited and were entertained with one-act plays presented by the St. Matthew’s Church drama group and the branch’s own group. Songs were given by Messrs Ernest Rogers and Robert Lake, accompanied by Mrs J P. Stubberfield.

The hall was festively decorated with an illuminated Christmas tree in a prominent position. A large cake was cut by the Dominion president iMrs G. Plumridge).
