INDONESIA’S ROCKETS
Secret Bases Suspected

An Army spokesman today declined to comment on a London I report that Indonesia was build-' ing secret long-range rocket weapon bases in south-west Sumatra. Major Harsono. of Army Hcad-i quarters, indicated that a state- 1 ment may be issued later today.' Indonesia, which has rockets., recently closed a jungled area in the south-west of Sumatra for military exercises. The Army ordered all inhabitants to leave Baturadja Kabupaten. The Air Force also scaled off a nearby area in South Sumatra, forbidding anyone to enter. Indonesia displayed military rockets for the first time on October 5. Armed Forces Day. at Bandung. West Java. launchers with rockets were part of an artillery battalion rolling past in a big parade.
