Accommodation For Aged In Napier (New Zealand Press Association) NAPIER, Sept. 25. A gift of an additional £12,500, augmenting the sum of £7500 announced in his name earlier this month, has been made by Mr H. A. M. Charles, of Napier, for the provision of pensioners’ flats in the city. Mr Charles’s gifts, totalling £40.000—£20,000 given last year, £7500 annnounced earlier this month, and £12,500 announced today—have, when matched by loans raised by the City Council, and with Government subsidy of the total of gifts and council loans combined, been responsible for making available in Napier a total sum of £160,000 for the provision [of flats for pensioners.
