(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON. September 25. The Amalgamated Society of Hallway Servants today sent telegrams to railway workshops and centres Lroughout New Zealand advising that most of its 18.000 members _ould expect wage rises of Sid an hour
The wage increase, reported to be applicable to all workers up to £822 yearly, is the result of negotiations between the A.S.R.S. and t e Railways Department m conciliation. It is expected to apply to nearly 80 per cent of the 18.000 members. The increase has still to be ratif>gfity the Railways Tribunal. reported increase tapers °° *T* > y £BK - UP to £9OO, and aoej .OM apply to workers above that figure.
