EAR AND THROAT PATIENTS
Long Waiting List To reduce the heavy waiting list of patients, the hospital committee of the North Canterbury Hospital Board is considering a suggestion that available beds at the Coronation Hospital be used by the ear, nose and throat department. The committee’s attention, it was reported to the board, had been drawn to the rapid growth of the waiting list and the need for additional bed space and staff. The board decided to advertise the position of assistant ear, nose and throat surgeon throughout New Zealand.
