Halted by red traffic lights in Hastings, a Waipawa woman njotorist temporarily abandoned her car in a traffic lane and hurried over to inspect a shop displaying sale bargains. A traffic officer who waited four minutes behind her told of the incident when the woman was charged in the Magistrate’s Court with driving without due care and attention. “That’s frontier town behaviour, surely,” commented Mr D. G. Sinclair, S.M., imposing a fine of £4.
