HORSE SOCIETY EVENT

Miss J. Cresswell, on Flash, won the Holmslee Challenge Cup for the second time at the one-day everft held by the New Zealand Horse Society at Stewart’s Gully recently. Miss Cresswell won the trophy in 1956 and was runner-up last year. The event drew 23 competitors and was held in fine weather. In the cross-country there were 18 jumps and two water jumps. Results of the three phases were: Cross-country.—Miss P. Blakely (Spanker) 1. Dressage.—J. Bonham (Carmen) 1. Show Jumping.—Miss J. Cresswell (Flash) and Miss B. Smith (equal) 1.
