PLUNKET WORK EXPANDING
Demand On Voluntary Workers “With the growth of the city and the new housing areas, our work is growing and expanding and more and more is demanded from our voluntary workers,” says the president (Mrs A. Rose) in her report to be presented at the annual meeting of the Christchurch branch of the Plunket Society on July 9. “Our pre-school work has grown. The district shows immense growth and two of our subbranches are in the process of building Plunket rooms. The mobile clinic continues to serve those clinics which have not yet built rooms. A feature of the mothercraft and fathercraft classes has been the advice and help the Mothercraft Sister has been able to give to parents adopting babies. “Many of our sub-branches have been able to finish the year showing credit balances, and that is an extremely healthy sign,” says Mrs Rose.
